Security Technical Support

Company Profile

A major Japanese global manufacturer is strengthening its internal security support capability and is looking for an L1/L2 Security Support Specialist to join its security operations function.

The Role

• You will be the first and second line of security support, receiving security tickets and alerts, performing initial analysis and triage, and resolving or escalating issues with clear documentation.
• You will support vulnerability management, access-related requests and basic security configuration tasks.
• You will work closely with internal IT teams, the SOC (if present) and external vendors.
• You will maintain accurate ticket records and help improve the knowledge base and runbooks.
• Shift coverage or on-call rotation may apply, depending on the operating model.

Your Skills

• Business-level Japanese is mandatory. English is a plus.
• Experience in security operations, SOC or IT security support at L1/L2 level.
• Familiarity with common security tools such as SIEM, EDR, ticketing systems and vulnerability scanners.
• Ability to analyse logs and alerts and distinguish genuine issues from noise.
• Clear communication skills, able to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical users.
• Previous experience in a large Japanese manufacturing or consumer goods environment is helpful but not mandatory.
