Security Technician

The IT Security Technician plays a key role on the Information Technology Security team in designing, implementing, and supporting security strategies across the Unified Judicial System network and various court agency systems. Reporting directly to the Security Supervisor, this position maintains perimeter and cybersecurity infrastructure, deploys new defense technologies, and mitigates threats. The role performs a broad range of technical security duties—from daily monitoring and maintenance to active incident responses, ensuring the protection of a complex, multifaceted statewide judicial network.

Job Duties

• Candidate must have an Associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology and more than 3-5 years of work experience in the related field.
• Configures and maintains enterprise security infrastructures to deliver seamless network security services for UJS networks as well as court and state agencies.
• Develops, configures, implements, and maintains system security standards, policies, procedures, Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), and Internet access to court agency systems to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, servers, and data.
