Security Technologist- Inkjet

Job Summary

We are looking for a chemist/scientist with a background in research and development of functional fluids /coatings or inks to join our liquid inks team based in Harlow.

You will contribute to the evaluation of new raw materials, research and development of new ink formulations, printing and scale up of security inks.

Previous knowledge of ink development for inkjet inks is preferred but not essential.

The Role:

To work as part of a laboratory-based team, to develop new security ink products for digital printing technology and to support maintenance of existing ink portfolio.

· Design, plan and create formulations against a set of established test

methods derived from customer needs.

· To carry out technical work and solve problems for customer enquiries to an agreed standard.

· To document experimental results and maintain accurate laboratory records.

· Carry out routine tasks to maintain laboratory H&S and 5S and

environmental policies.

Potential career paths from this role are likely to be advancement within the laboratory to more senior technical roles.

What you’ll need:

· A degree in chemistry, physics or similar related discipline and/or experience of working in a laboratory.

· Technical mindset and ability to resolve problems across the specific product or application areas.

· Some experience in development of functional fluids, coatings or inks development is preferred.

· Strong initiative and focus on achieving technical results and meeting customer requirements.

· An enthusiasm for hands-on lab work and a self-motivation with a positive and proactive attitude.

· A good organisational and problem-solving skills.

· An ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
