Job Overview

We are seeking passionate and experienced tutors to join our dynamic educational team! In this role, you will provide engaging, personalized instruction across a variety of subjects, helping students of all ages unlock their full potential. Whether working with young children, teenagers preparing for standardized tests, or adult learners seeking to enhance their skills, you will play a vital role in fostering academic growth and confidence. This paid position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through innovative teaching methods and tailored lesson plans. Currently, we are seeking K-8 Generalist Tutors, Mid/Upper-Level Math Tutors, Special Education Tutors, and a Reading/Literacy Tutor.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement customized lesson plans that align with students’ learning styles and educational goals
• Deliver engaging instruction across multiple subjects, including science, mathematics, English language arts, and test preparation such as SAT coaching, according to your areas of expertise
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse cultural backgrounds and varying learning needs, including special education requirements
• Utilize learning technology tools, manipulatives, and integrated projects to enhance student connectedness and inquiry
• Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting instructional approaches accordingly
• Manage support dynamics effectively to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate clearly with students and parents/guardians regarding academic progress, challenges, and next steps

Requirements

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly for K-12th scholars
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional adaptability
• Familiarity with different methodologies for learning and teaching
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrated ability to work with children, adolescents, or adult learners in educational settings
• Experience working with students with special needs or in early childhood education is a plus
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and developmental stages
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to manage a schedule
• Passion for education and commitment to fostering student success
