Seeking nurse practitioner or physician assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy rheumatology practice. Experience in the clinical setting is a must. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare, possess strong clinical assessment skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment that values innovation and teamwork.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews across various age groups including pediatrics, adults, and seniors.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions by developing treatment plans, prescribing medications including IV infusions.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) NextGen to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
• Provide specialized care in rheumatology
• Assist with diagnostic evaluations using laboratory experience, sonography, medical imaging techniques, and specimen collection/processing.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current licensure in Maryland.
• Demonstrated experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth.
• Strong clinical skills including physical examinations, medication administration (including injections)
• Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding systems for medical documentation and billing purposes..
• Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and patient education; ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
