Responsibilities

• Safely operate a van or commercial vehicle to deliver packages and goods to designated locations.
• Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption.
• Load and unload items carefully, often involving heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Verify delivery details and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with traffic laws.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents encountered during shifts.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transportation role.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with van or commercial driving preferred.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory handling and storage procedures.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws, safety regulations, and best driving practices.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage routes, schedules, and documentation effectively.
