Self Employed Handyman

Job Summary
We are seeking a self-employed, skilled and motivated Handyman to join our team. This individual must have their own tools, reliable transportation and liability insurance. They must be able to submit invoices for payment. Hours are based on the volume of work so some weeks may be busier than others. Emergency calls on weekends are rare but are needed from time to time. We are hiring a self-employed sub-contractor who will receive a 1099 at year end.

Duties

• Perform General Carpentry.
• Gutter/Downspout Repair and Cleaning.
• Paint Touch-up.
• Pressure Washing.
• Installation of Mailboxes, Signage, Etc.
• Repair Drywall.
• Address Minor Plumbing and Electrical Issues.
• Conduct General Home Repairs and Maintenance.
• Asphalt/Concrete Knowledge a Plus.
• Replace Rotten Deck and Siding Boards.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Stay organized and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
• Maintain attention to detail throughout all tasks.
• Availability to occasionally run emergency calls on weekends or nights.

Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven experience as a handyman.
• Proficiency with various hardware tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexible schedule.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• A contractor or journeyman license is a plus.
• Clean Background.
