Self Employed Painter and Decorator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable self employed Painter & Decorator to join our team. This role involves applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail paper hanging is required . The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting, excellent communication skills, and a valid driving licence. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties, contributing to the transformation and enhancement of spaces. We cover the full northwest area and can offer price work per job

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections before painting or decorating
• Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
• Protect surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures during work
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition for optimal performance
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on larger projects as neededExperience
• Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is essential
• Familiarity with different types of paints, finishes, and decorating techniques
• Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites
• Strong communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Organised with excellent attention to detail to deliver high-quality results

Pay: £23.00-£25.00 per hour
