M&E Accident Repair Centre is looking for an experienced self-employed Panel Beater / Panel & MET Technician to support our busy accident repair workshop.

This is a self-employed contractor role, not a PAYE employed position.

Rate: £26.00 per hour.

The Role

You’ll be expected to work independently and carry out high-quality accident repairs, including:

• Full range of panel repairs.
• Panel replacement.
• Structural and jig repairs.
• Miracle Pull repairs.
• Dent removal and plastic repairs.
• Strip and refit of your own jobs, including relevant MET work.
• Repair-over-replace techniques where appropriate.
• Following manufacturer repair methods.
• Identifying additional damage and reporting parts requirements.
• Checking the quality of your own work before the vehicle progresses.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong previous experience as a Panel Beater within an accident repair centre or professional bodyshop.
• Confident carrying out both Panel and MET work on your own jobs.
• Experience with structural repairs, jig work and panel replacement.
• Able to consistently achieve 150%+ efficiency while maintaining high repair quality.
• Able to work independently and productively to a high standard.
• Own tools required.
• Reliable and able to manage your own workload effectively.

Qualifications

Desirable, but not essential:

• ATA / IMI accreditation.
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent body repair qualification.
• Manufacturer repair training.
• EV / Hybrid awareness or qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.

Contract Details

• £26.00 per hour self-employed.
• Self-employed contractor basis.
• Ongoing work available for the right person.
• Monday to Friday.
• Flexible start and finish times.
• Optional weekend work may be available.
• Immediate start available.
• Contractor responsible for their own tax and National Insurance.

Pay: From £26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
