Self Employed Private Hire Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and professional Drivers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently whilst providing excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, requiring a strong focus on time management, attention to detail, and communication. You will carry out a variety of jobs, including, airport runs, school contracts and private bookings.

Pay starts at £500 per week for basic hours and will climb should you wish to carry out extra work. You will also receive 20 days paid holiday per year as well as bank holidays.

Requirements

• Driver’s licence held for a minimum of 3 years.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to plan out your allocated work.
• Clear DBS record
• Hold, or be in the process of applying for, a Private Hire Driver's license with Durham County Council

What will your typical day look like?

A typical shift begins at 7am, mornings are always a busy time and you will have a variety of work to complete, including airport runs, home to school transport and other privately booked jobs. Late mornings/Early afternoons are generally a lot quiter and it is not unusual to find yourself with a couple of hours off.

From roughly 2pm onwards you will likely be fully booked for the rest of the day. Your final job of the day will typically be at 5pm and allow you to finish for the day at roughly 6pm.
