Self Storage Maintenance Technician

Company Overview Security Public Storage (SPS) is a family-owned and operated self-storage company with 53 self-storage facilities located throughout California, Oregon, Nevada, Maryland, and Virginia. Job Summary Security Public Storage is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician / Handyman to support the daily maintenance and repair needs of our Martinez and near by facilities. This position is ideal for a dependable, self-motivated individual with experience in a variety of maintenance trades who enjoys troubleshooting problems and takes pride in maintaining commercial properties.

Qualifications & Skills Qualified applicants should have experience in several of the following areas. Strong experience in electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems is highly preferred:

• Electrical – troubleshooting, repairs, fixtures, outlets, switches, and general facility electrical work
• Plumbing – troubleshooting leaks, fixtures, pipes, drains, and general plumbing repairs
• Low-voltage systems – alarms, access control, security gates, cameras, and related systems
• IP camera installation and audio/video systems
• General facility maintenance and troubleshooting
• Landscaping
• Irrigation
• Painting
• Concrete and asphalt repair
• Framing
• Metal fabrication and repair

Requirements

• Valid California driver's license
• Reliable personal vehicle with current insurance
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance tasks
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills, particularly in electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and determine the appropriate repair or solution
