Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Semi-Qualified CA / Chartered Accountant to join our team and handle Accounting and Statutory Audit assignments for clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling day-to-day accounting and finalization of books of accounts.
• Preparation and review of financial statements as per applicable accounting standards.
• Planning and execution of Statutory Audit assignments.
• Performing audit procedures, verification of books, vouchers, ledgers and supporting documents.
• Review of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statements and related schedules.
• Checking compliance with applicable Companies Act, Accounting Standards / Ind AS and other relevant regulations.
• Preparation and maintenance of audit working papers and documentation.
• Identifying accounting discrepancies, control weaknesses and audit observations.
• Assisting in preparation of audit reports and financial statements.
• Coordinating directly with clients for audit requirements, queries and necessary information.
• Supervising and reviewing work performed by junior team members.
• Ensuring timely completion of accounting and audit assignments within prescribed deadlines.
• Handling multiple client assignments and maintaining professional relationships with clients.

Preferred candidate profile

• 26 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Statutory Audit, preferably in a CA firm.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
• Practical exposure to Statutory Audit and finalization of accounts.
• Good working knowledge of Tally and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of Companies Act and applicable Accounting Standards / Ind AS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to independently manage assignments and work within deadlines.
