Semi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a practical, reliable, and mechanically minded individual to join our maintenance team working on a modern poultry farm.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical mindset who enjoys hands-on work and wants to develop their engineering skills. Full training will be provided, and you will initially work alongside an experienced engineer who will support your development

Location: Shawbury, Shropshire

Working schedule: 12 days On, 2 days Off

Accomodation: Caravan accommodation available

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment across the farm
• Repairing drinker lines and feed chains
• Changing bearings, fan motors, and feed motors
• Carrying out nest box repairs
• Servicing and maintaining pumps, conveyors, fans, and other mechanical systems
• Assisting with preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs

Requirements:

• Practical and good with your hands
• Mechanically minded with a genuine interest in engineering
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Full driving licence required
• Experience servicing or repairing vehicles, machinery, or mechanical equipment would be an advantage
