Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Semiconductor Engineer to support semiconductor device development, chip design, testing, characterization, and process-related engineering activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in semiconductor physics, electronic devices, circuit fundamentals, and semiconductor manufacturing concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Support semiconductor device design, development, testing, and characterization.
• Understand semiconductor device behavior, including diodes, MOSFETs, BJTs, and CMOS technologies.
• Assist with electrical testing, measurement, data analysis, and performance evaluation of semiconductor devices.
• Analyze device parameters and identify performance variations or potential failures.
• Support semiconductor fabrication and process engineering activities, where applicable.
• Review technical specifications, test reports, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with VLSI design, verification, fabrication, packaging, and testing teams.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of device or process-related issues.
• Follow engineering quality standards, laboratory safety procedures, and applicable process guidelines.
• Prepare technical reports and document experimental results.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong fundamentals in semiconductor physics and electronic devices.
• Understanding of PN junctions, diodes, MOSFETs, BJTs, and CMOS fundamentals.
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with electrical testing, measurement techniques, and data analysis.
• Ability to interpret device characteristics, graphs, and technical datasheets.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IC fabrication processes such as lithography, oxidation, diffusion, deposition, and etching.
• Familiarity with semiconductor testing, characterization, and failure analysis.
• Basic understanding of VLSI design and integrated circuit manufacturing.
• Exposure to EDA, simulation, or device-modeling tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, or Silvaco, depending on the role.
• Knowledge of semiconductor packaging, assembly, and reliability testing.
• Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or Excel for engineering data analysis.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electrical Engineering, VLSI Design, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Technology, Materials Science, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

• Freshers: Candidates with strong academic fundamentals, semiconductor-related projects, laboratory experience, or relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
• Experienced Candidates: 13 years of experience in semiconductor device engineering, process engineering, product engineering, validation, characterization, or related fields.
