Semiconductor Test & Validation Engineer

Location: Kota Damansara, KL, Malaysia | Work arrangement: On-Site

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Semiconductor Test & Validation Engineer to join our engineering team. This role focuses on developing and debugging semiconductor test programs, device characterization, and validation using advanced automated test equipment (ATE), including the Advantest V93000 (93K).

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, debug, maintain, and improve semiconductor ATE test programs and test methodologies, including test sequences, limits, and data collection.

· Perform IC characterization, validation, and production testing; support device bring-up and test hardware debugging.

· Work with Advantest V93000 (93K) ATE, automated handlers, and temperature-control systems.

· Execute high- and low-temperature testing and analyze parametric, functional, and yield data.

· Investigate test failures and anomalies, support root-cause analysis, and improve test coverage, test time, and efficiency.

· Collaborate with design, product, reliability, and operations teams; document test procedures, results, and technical findings.

· Assist with laboratory equipment setup, qualification, and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

· B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

· Approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience preferred; strong entry-level candidates will also be considered.

· Solid understanding of semiconductor devices, electronic circuits, IC testing, and measurement fundamentals.

· Hands-on experience developing or debugging test programs on semiconductor ATE is highly desirable; Advantest V93000 experience is highly desirable.

· Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python or C/C++) and ability to analyze test data are desirable.

· Experience with automated handlers, temperature testing, device characterization, or reliability testing is a plus.

· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; comfortable working in a hands-on laboratory.

Pay: RM3,400.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
