Want a paid role that builds real SEN experience ahead of teacher training or Ed Psych routes? Support pupils with Autism, EBD and ADHD through calm, structured guidance that makes learning stick.

  • SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • November start until July 2027
  • £81 - £101 per day
  • ‘Outstanding’ primary school, Wolverhampton
  • Autism, EBD and ADHD support on a 1:1 and small group basis

What You’ll Do Work alongside the SENCO and class teachers to deliver tailored support. You’ll capture quick progress notes and agree next actions with staff and parents so support stays consistent.

Requirements

  • Communication – Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Enhanced DBS – Held already or willing to obtain.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in SEN, behaviour support and pupil wellbeing.
  • Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (SEN support, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.

The School An ‘Outstanding’ primary in Wolverhampton with excellent systems, a skilled SEN team and well-resourced classrooms. You’ll receive practical coaching and regular check-ins so you can make impact quickly and grow professionally.

How to Apply

Email your CV and include your November availability, DBS status and two referees if possible. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a brief call and in-school interview/observation. Early applications are advised, as the school may appoint before the closing date.
