Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans that address the unique learning needs of students with special educational requirements in mathematics.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies, including applied behavior analysis techniques, to enhance understanding and engagement.
• Support students’ overall development by integrating speech therapy, physical education, and toddler care principles when appropriate.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing detailed feedback and adjusting instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate closely with special education teams, therapists, and caregivers to develop comprehensive support plans.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies.
• Assist with proofreading educational materials, tutoring students one-on-one or in small groups, and mentoring new staff or interns.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of mathematics instruction tailored for children with diverse learning needs.
• Experience working with children in early childhood education, preschool settings, or toddler care environments.
• Familiarity with speech therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis to support holistic student development.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and specialists.
• Proven ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering a nurturing learning atmosphere.
• Experience teaching physical education or integrating movement into lessons to enhance engagement.
• Demonstrated mentoring skills for supporting new teachers or interns in a dynamic educational setting.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
