SEN Teaching Assistant

Summary

This role is for work in half term and school holidays, potentially weekends in the future . We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and energetic Teaching Assistants to join our Sports Club for children with SEND . You'll support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to take part in fun, inclusive sports, games and enrichment activities during the school holidays.

Working as part of a supportive team, you'll help create a safe, positive and engaging environment where every child can build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy being active. This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone passionate about working with children and making a difference.

We are looking for individuals who have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND in schools
Experience working with children with SEMH needs in schools
A positive, patient and caring attitude.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to support and adapt to children with a range of needs
Confidence assisting with sports, trips, games and other activities
The ability to remain calm, flexible and proactive in a busy environment.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications
Teaching Assistant or coaching qualification, or equivalent.
Experience in education, childcare, sports coaching or youth work.
First Aid qualification (desirable)
Enhanced DBS check on update service
Safeguarding trained
