SEND 1:1 Support - Part Time

Job Title: One to One Special Educational Needs (SEND) Support

Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9am-3:30pm, all year round

Salary- £13.37 Per Hour

Contract Type: Fixed-Term – 1 Year Contract

The Role We are seeking a caring, proactive and patient 1:1 Special Educational Needs Support Assistant to join us! You will be working closely with 1 child to support their individual needs, providing tailored support to help them engage, learn and develop within a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalised 1:1 support, adapting strategies to suit the child with an EHCP.
• Work in partnership with the SENDCO, Room Leader, Therapists, and parents to follow and adapt individual learning and support plans.
• Promote each child’s independence, communication skills, and social interaction through play and structured activities.
• Ensure the children’s emotional well-being and safety at all times.
• Keep accurate records of progress, observations, and next steps.

About You

• Experience working with children with SEND in an early years setting (essential).
• Knowledge of strategies to support communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation.
• A warm, patient and resilient approach with excellent communication skills.
• Relevant childcare/SEND qualification (Level 2/3 in Early Years or equivalent) preferred.
• A genuine passion for making a difference in children’s lives.
• Experience in keeping up to date relevant records for SEND children
