We are a alternative provision supporting secondary and post-16 learners, including young people with special educational needs and disabilities, social, emotional and mental health needs, and barriers to attending school.

You’ll work with some of the hardest-to-reach young people—learners who need adults who show up, build trust and keep believing in them. Seeing a student begin to participate, master a new skill or feel proud of themselves makes this work incredibly rewarding.

LEARN WHILE YOU EARN

Depending on your existing qualifications and training-provider assessment, the opportunity may include:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship, gaining practical experience supporting learners with SEND.
• A Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant apprenticeship with a SEND specialism for suitable applicants who already hold a relevant Level 3 qualification.

The apprenticeship route will be confirmed with the successful applicant and training provider.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You’ll need:

• GCSE grade 5 or above in both English and maths.
• A real interest in education and supporting young people.
• Patience, empathy and a calm, consistent approach.
• Reliability, initiative and a willingness to learn.
• A commitment to safeguarding and working to high standards.

Location: Grow Your Potential, Luton
Starting pay: £8 per hour where the statutory apprentice rate applies, with increases in line with minimum-wage requirements.
Hours: 38 hours per week during 38 academic weeks, plus five INSET days, held from 9am–5pm.

Appointment is subject to apprenticeship eligibility, satisfactory references, an enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding checks.

Pay: £8.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 per week
