Senior Account Director
Your role, your journey | Te Huarahi Whakatipu
At 2degrees, strategic partnerships play an important role in how we grow, innovate and deliver value for our customers. That's where you come in.
As our Senior Account Director, you'll be responsible for developing, managing and strengthening some of 2degrees' largest and strategically important wholesale partnerships, alongside a small number of other key partner relationships. Acting as the primary point of contact for partner stakeholders, you'll align business objectives, create long-term value for both our partners and 2degrees, and serve as the voice of the customer within the business.
Working closely with teams across product, technology, operations, finance and legal, you'll help shape partnership strategy, establish strong governance, monitor performance and identify opportunities for growth. You'll bring people together around shared goals and ensure joint initiatives are delivered successfully.
This role blends strategic partnership management, commercial leadership and stakeholder engagement. You'll lead executive-level relationships, facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews and work across internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
You'll be the kind of person who enjoys building influential relationships, navigating complexity and creating value through partnership. If you thrive in environments where relationships matter as much as results, and enjoy bringing people together to achieve shared outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
How you'll show up | Tu mai Tu Rangatira
- Significant experience managing strategic partnerships, key accounts or enterprise relationships, ideally within telecommunications, technology or a related industry.
- Proven experience building trusted relationships and engaging with C-suite and executive stakeholders, including leading Quarterly Business Reviews, governance forums and strategic commercial discussions.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience identifying growth opportunities, negotiating commercial outcomes and delivering strategic value.
- The ability to act as a trusted advisor and advocate for customers, bringing the voice of the customer into decision-making and influencing outcomes across the organisation.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving outcomes through influence rather than direct authority.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align diverse groups around shared objectives and create momentum across multiple workstreams.
- Confidence navigating complex customer environments and balancing customer needs with business priorities.
- Experience establishing governance frameworks, tracking performance and managing risks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Telecommunications industry experience would be highly advantageous, although deep technical expertise is not essential.
- Curiosity, resilience and a continuous improvement mindset.
