Senior Account Executive

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Account Executive to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s full set of accounts, preparing financial reports, supporting month-end closing, and ensuring compliance with Malaysian accounting and tax requirements.

Candidates with experience in the manufacturing industry, SST, audit and management reporting will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and maintain the full set of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, cash flow and bank reconciliation.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, including:

  • Profit & Loss (P&L) Statement
  • Balance Sheet / Statement of Financial Position
  • Cash Flow Statement
  • Trial Balance and supporting schedules

• Perform monthly closing and ensure all accounting transactions are accurately recorded and properly supported.

• Prepare monthly financial and management reports for management review.

• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, payments and collections.

• Prepare and review accounting schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

• Handle SST matters, including SST calculations, reporting, documentation and submission.

• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, banks and other external parties when required.

• Prepare documents and schedules for annual audit and tax computation.

• Ensure proper maintenance and filing of accounting records and supporting documents.

• Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, SST requirements and relevant statutory regulations.

• Assist in identifying accounting discrepancies and implementing improvements to financial processes and internal controls.

• Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with full-set accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in full-set accounts.
• Experience preparing P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement and monthly management reports.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian SST requirements and accounting practices.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting will be highly advantageous.
• Experience handling external audits and liaising with auditors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines and handle confidential financial information.
• Good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
