Senior Account Executive

About the role

Handle the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger. Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and relevant accounting schedules. Manage daily accounting transactions, payment processing, bank reconciliation and cash flow monitoring. Prepare invoices, credit notes, payment vouchers and other accounting documentation. Monitor customer collections, outstanding balances and supplier payments. Perform monthly closing and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare financial analysis, costing reports and management reports when required. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers and other external parties. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, statutory requirements and company policies. Assist in budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning. Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records. Support management in improving accounting procedures, internal controls and financial processes.

About you

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• At least 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the construction, aluminium, glass, manufacturing or building materials industry
• Experience handling full set of accounts is essential
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, taxation and statutory requirements in Malaysia
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Mature, responsible, detail-oriented and able to handle confidential financial information
