Senior Account Executive

About the role

Managing full set of accounts and supporting financial operations for property development, constructions activities and accommodation industry. The role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements. The role will be involved in the day-to-day transactions and operations, work collaboratively with other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and monthly bank reconciliations
• Oversee daily operations such as receivables, invoicing, payments, and accounting system entries
• Prepare monthly management accounts and audit schedules
• Oversee and manage intercompany transactions and recurrent related party transactions
• Support group consolidation for quarterly financial results, familiar with MFRS
• Liaise with external auditors for statutory audit
• Prepare provisional tax computation for estimate of tax at every 6th, 9th and 11th month of a year of assessment
• Submit service tax return, including service tax on imported service and digital service
• Remit withholding tax to IRB
• Coordinate payment approvals, schedule payments, and ensure timely and accurate processing payments

Qualification

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in property development or construction industry in a public listed company, or operation of centralised labour quarter
• Familiar with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, Income Tax and Service Tax laws and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QnE accounting software
