What they need

Senior Account Manager – Transportation & Logistics Brokerage

Compensation: $70,000 – $250,000+ per year

Build the Book. Grow the Relationships. We’ll Build the Team Around You.

We’re looking for experienced logistics professionals who know how to develop business, build lasting customer relationships, and grow profitable accounts, without being buried in the day-to-day operational grind.

This is not a traditional cradle-to-grave brokerage role.

As a Senior Account Manager, your primary focus is sales, customer strategy, and growing your book of business. Our Carrier Operations Team handles daily carrier procurement and shipment execution, giving you more time to prospect, develop relationships, and generate revenue.

And as your book grows, your support grows with it.

Once your book of business reaches the appropriate scale, we build a dedicated operations team around you and your customers. Instead of your success creating more administrative work for you, it creates more infrastructure behind you.

The goal is simple: you grow the business; we give you the operational support and resources to keep growing it.

What You'll Do:

Develop New Business

  • Prospect and develop new customer relationships through outbound sales, referrals, networking, and industry relationships.
  • Build and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Identify transportation opportunities that align with your expertise and our capabilities.
  • Negotiate customer pricing and service agreements.
  • Build a healthy, sustainable pipeline of new opportunities.

Nurture Your Customer Relationships

You remain the primary relationship owner for your accounts.

  • Develop long-term relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Understand each customer's transportation network, challenges, and priorities.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and strategic account discussions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services.
  • Serve as a trusted transportation resource for your customers.

Grow Your Book

Your success isn't limited by how many shipments you can personally cover.

  • Grow revenue and margin within existing accounts.
  • Identify cross-selling and expansion opportunities.
  • Develop larger, more strategic customer relationships.
  • Maintain pricing strategies that support sustainable profitability.
  • Partner with leadership on opportunities for significant account growth.

Let Operations Handle Operations

Our Carrier Operations Team supports the execution of your freight, including carrier procurement and day-to-day shipment operations.

You will collaborate closely with Operations to ensure they have the information needed to execute successfully while you remain focused on the customer and the growth of your business.

As your book reaches scale, we build additional operational support team around you — including a dedicated operations structure designed to support your customers and continued growth.

You shouldn't have to choose between servicing the freight you already have and finding your next customer.

Advocate for Your Customers

  • Represent your customers' needs internally.
  • Maintain proactive communication on customer priorities.
  • Partner with Operations to resolve service challenges.
  • Escalate critical issues when necessary.
  • Help develop solutions for complex transportation needs.

Manage Your Pipeline

  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records.
  • Document sales activity.
  • Manage a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Forecast revenue and account growth.
  • Participate in account planning and strategy sessions.

Who We're Looking For

This position is designed for an experienced logistics professional who knows how to build relationships and generate business.

You'll thrive here if you:

  • Have experience in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or 3PL sales.
  • Know how to prospect and develop your own customer relationships.
  • Understand transportation pricing and profitability.
  • Want to spend more time selling and growing accounts and less time searching load boards and covering freight.
  • Are comfortable organically growing customer relationships from the first conversation through long-term account development.
  • Want the opportunity to build a substantial book of business without being limited by your own operational bandwidth.

Why This Role Is Different

In many brokerages, success creates a problem: the bigger your book gets, the more time you spend operating it.

We've built this position differently.

You focus on what high-performing salespeople do best:

Find customers. Build relationships. Solve problems. Grow revenue.

Our operations team supports execution.

And when your book takes off, we don't expect you to simply work more hours — we build the operational team and infrastructure around your business so you can continue scaling.

Compensation

$70,000 – $250,000+ annually

Compensation includes a competitive base salary with performance-based earning potential tied to the growth and profitability of your book of business.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to build a significant income while developing a long-term portfolio of customer relationships.

  • Work from home Wednesdays after book of business reaches $15,000 in margin.

Ready to Build Something Bigger?

If you've already proven you can build relationships and generate freight, we want to give you the structure to scale it.

Bring the relationships, sales ability, and drive.

We'll bring the operational horsepower to help you grow.
