Senior Accountant/ Assistant Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and detail-oriented accounting professional to join our Finance team in Hong Kong.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a vital role in managing overall Accounts Payable, executing accurate payment operations, preparing journal entries, and leading month-end closing processes. Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing quality financial reports and consolidation for the group
• Provide day-to-day technical support in, audit, accounting, tax and financial analysis related matters for Hong Kong and Macau subsidiaries
• Manage month-end closing procedures and ensure timely submission of management reports
• Draft and review financial statements of Hong Kong and overseas companies
• Oversee the accounts payable cycle, including timely processing of payments, daily accounting entries, inter-company transaction reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
• Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations
• Assist CFO in maintaining and streamlining the company's accounting workflows, policies, and guidelines
• Support system implementation projects for financial accounting and reporting functions
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure statutory annual audits are completed within the required timeline
• Experience in tax computation for Hong Kong companies
• Communicate with banking service providers to support daily operations
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Holder of Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• HKICPA or equivalents is an advantage
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in accounting or auditing. Candidates from Big 4 and second tier audit firms are preferred
• Knowledge of Hong Kong or international accounting standards and relevant tax rules
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in MYOB is an advantage
• Independent, analytical, well organized and responsible
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong sense of accuracy and carefulness
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
