Senior Accountant (Based Kuching)

About the role

A.K. Lighting Company in Kuching, Sarawak is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting support to ensure the smooth financial operations of the company.

Location: Canaan Square, Kuching

What you'll be doing

• Oversee financial operations and ensure that accurate financial statements are produced in a timely manner.

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.

• Prepare and oversee budgets and financial projections.

• Ensure that the company’s financial records are organized and accurate.

• Act as a financial advisor to senior management.

• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders.

• Manage and develop the accounting team to ensure maximum efficiency.

• Liaise with external auditors and other financial professionals.

• Analyze financial data and develop strategies to increase profitability and reduce costs.

• Monitor cash flow and liquidity and advise on strategies to maintain a strong financial position.

• EPF, SOCSO, EIS included

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounts or finance role
• Proficient in using accounting software SQL
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
