SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Role Overview

To manage complete financial operations, oversee cash flow across automotive retail and F&B segments, ensure total compliance with Malaysian tax laws, and maintain robust financial records via cloud accounting platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Set Accounts Management: Oversee and manage full-set accounts, including the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP), while ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings.
• Retail & Multi-Outlet Operations Control: Oversee daily sales reporting, cash collections, and reconciliations coming from retail, high-end body kit sales, and Point of Sales (POS) cafe systems.
• Cash Flow & High-Value Inventory Forecasting: Monitor company cash flow closely, forecasting upcoming expenditures relative to high-value automotive imports, customs/duties, and ongoing operational costs.
• Tax Compliance & Statutory Reporting: Handle local tax obligations including Sales and Service Tax (SST) returns, e-invoicing compliance, corporate tax tracking, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
• Financial Analysis & Management Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, Profit & Loss (P&L) summaries, variance analysis, and executive dashboards to assist senior management with strategic business decisions.
• Audit & Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate and liaise directly with external auditors, tax agents, and bank representatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a recognized professional accounting qualification (such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience handling full-set accounts, with preferred exposure blending retail, F&B, or specialized trading/automotive industries.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems, advanced spreadsheet management, and a strong up-to-date working knowledge of Malaysian financial and tax regulations (SST and e-invoicing).
• Professional communication skills in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
