Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and automation initiatives using systems like Paychex or SAP.
• Maintain and enhance accounting systems such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Conduct detailed Excel data analysis utilizing formulas like VLOOKUP and pivot tables to support financial reporting and audit preparations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and assist in audit coordination for internal and external audits.
• Support the implementation of new financial software solutions like UltiPro or Kronos to improve workflow automation and data integrity.
• Handle confidential information with utmost discretion while managing accounts receivable and payable activities.
• Reconcile complex accounts including general ledger accounts, intercompany transactions, and bank statements to maintain accurate records.
• Assist in technical accounting research related to new standards or complex transactions to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is highly preferred.
• Extensive experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a strong understanding of GAAP principles.
• Proven expertise with accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
• Hands-on experience with SOX compliance procedures and internal control frameworks.
• Proficiency in Excel data analysis including advanced formulas like VLOOKUP, IF statements, and pivot tables for detailed financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation techniques, and financial statement preparation.
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP or UltiPro as well as HRIS platforms like Ceridian or Kronos is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational skills combined with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.10 per hour
