Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Ameerpet, Hyderabad

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate and timely financial records.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Tally, GST, TDS, reconciliations, taxation, and general accounting principles, along with the ability to independently manage accounting functions

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Record and verify purchase, sales, receipt, payment, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts.
• Prepare and review Bank Reconciliations, Ledger Reconciliations, and Vendor/Customer Reconciliations.
• Handle GST-related activities, including preparation and filing of GST returns.
• Manage TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and return filings.
• Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for statutory compliance.
• Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform regular follow-up on outstanding receivables and payables.
• Prepare MIS reports and other financial reports as required by management.
• Review accounting entries and ensure proper classification of transactions.
• Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory reconciliations.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and other external stakeholders during audits.
• Assist in internal and statutory audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation laws, and company policies.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Support management with financial information and accounting-related analysis.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Supervise and guide junior accounting team members when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 36 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime/Tally ERP.
• Good practical knowledge of GST and TDS.
• Experience in GST return preparation and filing.
• Experience in TDS return preparation and filing.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting activities.
