Senior Accountant

As Senior Accountant, you'll manage your own portfolio of hospitality clients while also playing a key role in reviewing and mentoring junior team members. Day to day, you will:

• Prepare and complete income tax returns for a range of client entity types, including individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and groups
• Prepare and review financial statements, workpapers, and BAS/GST compliance for clients across the hospitality sector — from single-site cafes and restaurants to large hotels and multi-entity groups
• Oversee the accuracy and quality of work prepared by junior and intermediate accountants, providing review notes and technical guidance
• Adhoc bookkeeping support
• Ensure compliance work is completed accurately and to deadline across the client base
• Mentor and support junior staff, helping build their technical skills and confidence
• Identify process improvements to keep compliance work efficient and consistent
• Work closely with the Directors on team workflow, client matters, and staff development
