Senior Accountant

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Accounts & Taxation professional who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting, taxation, compliance, reconciliations and financial documentation of the company.

The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Accounting, GST, TDS and Income Tax and should be comfortable working independently on Tally, Excel, GST portals and other statutory compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting entries in Tally.

• Maintain purchase, sales, expense, journal and payment/receipt entries.

• Perform accounting vouching and verification of invoices, bills and supporting documents.

• Maintain proper books of accounts and supporting schedules.

• Prepare and maintain GST workings and reconciliations, including:

• GSTR-1

• GSTR-3B

• GSTR-2B reconciliation

• ITC reconciliation

• Vendor GST reconciliation

• Identification and follow-up of GST mismatches.

• Manage TDS compliance, including deduction, workings, payments and returns.

• Prepare TDS reconciliation with books and Form 26AS/AIS wherever applicable.

• Assist in Income Tax compliance, tax workings and related documentation.

• Coordinate with CA / Tax Consultants / Auditors for statutory compliance, assessments and audits.

• Prepare monthly accounting and taxation MIS.

• Perform bank, ledger, vendor and customer reconciliations.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial and statutory records.

• Prepare various Excel-based reports, MIS and financial schedules as required by management.

• Review expenses and supporting documents for accounting and tax compliance.

• Assist in preparation of data for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.

• Support internal and statutory audits.

• Ensure timely completion of all accounting and statutory compliance activities.

• Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.

Mandatory Skills & Knowledge

• Strong practical knowledge of Accounting.
• Good working knowledge of GST and GST reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of TDS and TDS returns.
• Working knowledge of Income Tax and related compliance.
• Hands-on experience in Tally / Tally Prime.
• Strong command over MS Excel.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and ledger scrutiny.
• Experience in vouching, reconciliations and audit support.
• Ability to independently manage routine accounting and taxation activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent.
• Experience: 37 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Taxation.
• Candidates from EPC / Infrastructure / Renewable Energy / Construction companies will be preferred.
• Should be a hands-on accountant, capable of independently managing day-to-day accounts and tax compliances.
• Should have good attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
• Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced PMC/EPC environment.Role & responsibilities
