Senior Accountant

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Working Arrangement: Fully onsite; WFH may be available during month-end closing
Reporting To: Director of Finance (Shared Services)

Job Summary

Responsible for managing the month-end and year-end closing for entities in the US, UK, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka. The role will handle financial reporting under US GAAP and local GAAP, ensuring accurate accounts and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Handle general ledger activities, journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Support and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure daily AP, AR and cash transactions are recorded accurately.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Work with US teams during month-end closing, with approximately 3–6 hours of US time-zone overlap when required.

Requirements

• Degree/Master's in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in GL, financial reporting and month-end/year-end closing.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, especially VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
• Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines and perform well under pressure.
