Senior Accountant

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on accounting professional to manage end-to-end financial closing, reporting and Singapore statutory compliance.

This is an individual-contributor role within a multinational environment, offering direct exposure to management, regional stakeholders and cross-functional teams. You will also contribute to SAP enhancements and finance-process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules and financial reports.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
• Manage GST, corporate income tax, statutory audit and other Singapore compliance matters, with support from external advisers where appropriate.
• Investigate and resolve accounting, reconciliation, closing and reporting issues.
• Coordinate the annual statutory audit and liaise with auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial providers and relevant authorities.
• Prepare management reports and provide clear explanations of significant financial and business variances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring and working-capital management.
• Maintain effective internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with business units and regional stakeholders to resolve finance-related matters.
• Participate in SAP and other finance-system enhancements, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, data validation, reconciliation and post-implementation support.
• Support key closing, audit, reporting and finance-project deliverables.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least eight years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in full-set accounting, financial closing, reporting and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Practical knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, GST and corporate income tax compliance.
• Hands-on SAP experience involving accounting, closing, reconciliation or financial reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Able to work independently, prioritise multiple deliverables and resolve accounting issues with limited supervision.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with regional stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• ACCA, CPA, CA or another recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Experience in a multinational or regional finance environment.
• Participation in an ERP implementation, migration, upgrade or optimisation project.
• Experience in consolidation, intercompany accounting or regional reporting.
• Familiarity with Power BI, automation or other reporting tools.
