  • Conduct detailed Excel data analysis utilizing formulas like VLOOKUP and advanced spreadsheet techniques to support financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements by implementing effective audit procedures.
  • Reconcile complex accounts such as the general ledger, bank statements, and intercompany transactions regularly to maintain data integrity.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports for external auditors, and regulatory filings with a focus on transparency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HRIS systems management (Workday or Kronos) to handle confidential information securely.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency through automation of routine accounting tasks.

  • Proven accounting experience with a minimum of five years in corporate accounting or public accounting environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting standards including GAAP, with familiarity in governmental or non-profit accounting preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Extensive experience with spreadsheets and Excel data analysis tools—particularly formulas like VLOOKUP and complex Excel functions—to facilitate detailed financial analysis.
  • Hands-on knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles, journal entries, account reconciliation procedures, and general ledger management.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP or UltiPro along with benefits administration processes is highly desirable.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analysis skills combined with strong attention to detail; capable of identifying discrepancies quickly and implementing corrective actions effectively.
  • Experience working within SOX compliance frameworks and utilizing audit controls to ensure regulatory adherence.
