Senior Accountant

We need a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to handle daily financial operations, ledger maintenance, and GST compliance. You will support the finance team with monthly closing tasks and ensure accurate financial records.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable (vendor invoices and payments) and accounts receivable (client invoicing and collections).
• Perform daily bank reconciliations to match bank statements with internal ledgers.
• Handle general ledger maintenance and post daily financial transactions.
• Ensure full compliance with GST regulations, including filing returns and tracking input tax credit.
• Conduct monthly closing activities, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and updating depreciation schedules.
• Assist senior staff with financial audits and reporting.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com).
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books).
• Knowledge: Clear understanding of basic accounting principles and Indian GST rules.
