Senior Accountant

Title: Sr. Accountant (reporting to Controller and/or Managing Partner)

This Senior Accountant position offers the opportunity to work with a fast-growing financial services platform providing strategic and operational advisory services to venture-backed technology companies. Financial partners with high-growth businesses across AI, SaaS, fintech, healthcare, and related technology sectors, supporting them as they scale their finance and accounting functions.

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who is comfortable supporting multiple sophisticated clients and serving as a key contributor on client engagements involving technology-driven accounting and operational challenges. This role is well suited to a hands-on accountant who enjoys executing core accounting activities while gaining exposure to a variety of high-growth, venture-backed companies. Responsibilities

• Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules as part of the month-end close
• Maintain accurate general ledger records, including intercompany transactions and consolidations
• Support accounting system migrations, integrations, and chart of accounts setup
• Prepare and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
• Assist with deferred revenue tracking and revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP
• Run or support semimonthly payroll processing and related reconciliations
• Prepare city and state compliance reporting and assist with other routine regulatory filings
• Support audit preparation and respond to requests from external auditors and advisors
• Collaborate closely with Controllers and client stakeholders to resolve issues and improve accounting processes

Required Qualifications

The following reflect minimum requirements for this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally supporting small to mid-sized companies
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles
• Hands-on experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
• Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance
• Familiarity with deferred revenue tracking and revenue recognition concepts
• Experience using modern accounting systems and platforms (e.g., Ramp, Rippling, Bill.com, Brex)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-client environment and managing competing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on execution
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Strong preference will be given to candidates demonstrating the following:

• Experience supporting early-stage or venture-backed technology companies
• Prior work in outsourced accounting, consulting, or multi-client service environments
• Exposure to accounting system migrations, integrations, or chart of accounts design
• Experience with tools commonly used by high-growth startups
• Experience supporting financial audits or working with external auditors
• Familiarity with city, state, or other routine compliance reporting
• Interest in growing into expanded responsibility over time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
