Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial records, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, GST, TDS, and financial reporting, along with hands-on experience in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory returns.
• Ensure timely calculation and payment of TDS, GST, and other statutory liabilities.
• Assist in preparation of profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow statements.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors, and internal departments.
• Maintain proper records for audits and support internal and statutory audit requirements.
• Monitor expenses, payments, collections, and outstanding balances.
• Verify invoices, bills, vouchers, and supporting documents.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Support budgeting, financial analysis, MIS reporting, and management reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Hands-on experience with Tally/ERP/accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Good attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting activities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred

• Experience in handling accounts for multiple branches/entities.
• Experience in preparing MIS and management reports.
• CA Inter / M.Com / MBA Finance qualification will be an added advantage.
