Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Duties

• Prepare, analyze, and review general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, accounts payable automation, and vendor payments using financial software such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle
• Oversee accounts receivable functions, including collections, invoice management, and reconciliation of customer accounts
• Conduct detailed Excel data analysis utilizing formulas like VLOOKUP and advanced spreadsheet techniques to support financial reporting and forecasting
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements across all accounting activities
• Assist with payroll management using systems such as ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro; handle benefits administration and related HRIS (Human Resources Information System) tasks
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including general ledger reconciliation and preparation of financial statements for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Extensive experience in accounting or finance roles with proficiency in accounting systems like QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or Ceridian
• Strong understanding of GAAP standards and financial compliance regulations
• Hands-on experience with financial software such as Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, or similar platforms
• Demonstrated ability in Excel data analysis including formulas like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex spreadsheets
• Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles along with experience in journal entries and general ledger management
• Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail for account reconciliation and audit preparation
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high ethical standards
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently

Pay: $88,185.46 - $106,201.85 per year
