Senior Accountant, Treasury & Investments

The Senior Accountant, Treasury & Investments supports the Foundation’s banking, liquidity, investment, and endowment operations. This role independently handles complex accounting, reconciliations, analysis, and reporting; resolves discrepancies; and provides timely financial information to management, auditors, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Investment and endowment accounting: Reconcile investment and endowment activity, including pooled investments, earnings and fees, spending distributions, and fair value balances. Investigate differences between custodian records, the general ledger, and supporting records.
• Bank and cash reconciliations: Complete Foundation bank and cash reconciliations, research unusual or unmatched transactions, identify root causes, and coordinate corrections.
• Financial reporting: Prepare and analyze recurring and ad hoc reports for cash, treasury, investments, endowments, and charitable gift annuities. Develop schedules to support audits, financial statement disclosures, and management analysis.
• Close and controls: Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, roll forwards, and documentation for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close. Support audit requests, identify control gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Cash and liquidity support: Assist with daily cash position reporting, cash activity analysis, bank fee review, transfers, and short-term liquidity information.
• Systems and processes: Use Workday, Blackbaud CRM, Excel, custodian portals, and banking applications to maintain records and reports. Document procedures, improve data quality, and help test system changes.
• Cross-functional support: Provide guidance on banking, investment, endowment, gift balance, and related Workday processes. Participate in projects, audit and compliance work, and process updates.
