3. TDS & Direct Tax Operations

  • Deduction & Deposit: Verify correct section-wise TDS applicability (e.g., 194C, 194J, 194I, 194Q, 195) and applicable threshold limits before authorizing vendor disbursements.
  • Quarterly Returns: Compute and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, Form 26Q) and oversee issuance of Form 16/16A.
  • Tax Reconciliation: Periodically reconcile TDS ledgers with TRACES and Form 26AS/AIS to resolve mismatches and ensure clean records.
  • Challan Processing: Ensure timely deposit of monthly TDS payments (Challan 281) on or before the 7th of every month.

4. Team Quality Control & Workflow (Maker-Checker)

  • Review and approve day-to-day accounting vouchers, purchase entries, and expense claims submitted by junior team members.
  • Standardize standard operating procedures (SOPs), documentation checklists, and filing structures across the accounting department.
  • Identify recurring accounting errors and coach junior team members to elevate reporting quality.

Required Qualifications & Experience
