Senior Accountant

About the role

This is a full-time permanent role based in Brisbane CBD offices. The objective of this role is to utilise your extensive experience to support a portfolio of premium clients. You will be responsible for working alongside the Client Manager and the Partners to build and nurture relationships with their existing and new clients.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and business activity statements for all entities including companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals, and other statutory compliance
• Assisting clients with a range of taxation matters, including FBT, CGT, income tax, and GST
• Involvement in tax planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Manage and foster client relationships face to face
• Involvement in Fringe Benefits Tax reviews and preparation of return
• Coach and mentor junior staff
• Manage own workload and deadlines for clients
• Reviewing work of more junior accountants

About you

• Solid Tax Accounting experience in public practice environment (ideally current)
• Exposure/knowledge assisting in advising clients regarding tax planning advice on budgeting, forecasting and value-added services
• Highly detail oriented and organised
• Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with different levels of employees in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• CPA or CA qualified or in progress
