Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong expertise in Tally, bank reconciliation, GST, TDS, payroll processing and vendor payment management.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, be capable of independently managing day-to-day accounting activities and possess strong communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Tally Management

• Independently manage daily accounting operations using Tally Prime.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers and financial records.
• Record purchase, sales, payment, receipt and journal entries.
• Ensure timely and accurate accounting of all financial transactions.

2. Bank Reconciliation

• Perform daily reconciliation of all company bank accounts.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in bank transactions.
• Maintain updated bank statements and reconciliation reports.
• Monitor daily cash flow and banking transactions.

3. GST & TDS Compliance

• Prepare and maintain GST-related data and documentation.
• Assist in GST return preparation and filing.
• Calculate TDS deductions and maintain TDS records.
• Coordinate with auditors and consultants regarding statutory compliance.

4. Payroll & Salary Processing

• Calculate monthly employee salaries.
• Maintain salary records, deductions and payment details.
• Prepare monthly salary statements.
• Coordinate with management regarding payroll processing.

5. Vendor Payments & Ledger Management

• Maintain and regularly reconcile vendor ledgers.
• Track outstanding payments through ledger reconciliation.
• Follow up on pending payments and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor invoices and payments.

6. Email Communication & Reporting

• Communicate professionally with vendors, clients and internal departments through email.
• Prepare and share payment-related statements and reports.
• Coordinate with management regarding outstanding payments and financial updates.
• Maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions and correspondence.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.Com, M.Com or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a similar role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Tally Prime / Tally ERP is mandatory.
• Strong experience in daily bank reconciliation.
• Practical knowledge of GST and TDS.
• Hands-on experience in salary calculation and payroll processing.
• Experience in vendor ledger reconciliation and payment tracking.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly professional email communication.
• Ability to manage accounting activities independently with minimal supervision.
