The Role | Based in Nassau and reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the daily reconciliation of bank and cash accounts, assisting staff with corrections and postings, maintaining the general ledger, updating accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets schedules. Your duties will also include monthly reconciliation of operating and financial systems, monthly management of accounts preparation including variance analysis and communicate with various departments locally and overseas to gather required information. Last but not least, you will assist the Financial Controller with annual budget preparation, internal and yearly external audits, and monthly and quarterly reinsurance and regulatory filings.

The Person | To be the ideal candidate, you will have a recognized accounting qualification (CA or CPA) with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification work experience. You will possess demonstrable strong analytical and problem-solving skills and inept knowledge of accounting standards and industry regulations. Your proficiency in MS Excel should preferably be at advanced user level. You should also have strong communication and organizational skills, with paying with attention to detail being an essential skill. Sage Intacct and insurance accounting knowledge would be an asset.
