Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger adjustments with precision and timeliness.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, accounts payable automation, and vendor payments using financial software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial data utilizing Excel formulas, VLOOKUP functions, and spreadsheet analysis tools to support reporting and decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal controls, including SOX compliance.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and manage collections to optimize cash flow while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing financial statements and supporting audit activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using HRIS systems like Workday or UltiPro to ensure accurate data entry and reporting related to finance operations.

Skills

• Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, or PeopleSoft.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in Excel data analysis with advanced knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and spreadsheet management.
• Knowledge of public accounting standards and experience supporting external audits.
• Familiarity with financial compliance requirements including SOX controls and internal audit procedures.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
• Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
