Senior Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, purchase invoices, sales invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Handle accounting for domestic and international clients, including invoicing, revenue recording, and payment follow-ups.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor payments, and customer outstanding balances.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations, ledger reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
• Handle GST returns, GST reconciliations, TDS deductions, payments, and return filings.
• Maintain books of accounts and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports, expense reports, cash flow statements, and management reports.
• Monitor employee reimbursements, expense claims, and corporate card transactions.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other external stakeholders.
• Assist in budgeting, financial planning, expense monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure timely finalization of accounts.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and ensure adherence to internal financial controls.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.

• Experience: 47 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance; IT industry experience preferred..

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance in India.

• Hands-on experience with Tally Prime, ERP/accounting software, and MS Excel.
