Senior Accountant / Controller

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Accountant / Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our accounting practices. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience with Restaurant a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish . Your expertise will drive accurate financial analysis, streamline accounting processes, and support strategic decision-making. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a talented finance team while maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) .
• · Manage the full-cycle general ledger and monthly closing process.
• Prepare and post journal entries for income, expenses, loan draws, intercompany transactions, payroll, and other activities.
• Prepare and review monthly income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Coordinate and oversee the existing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Review AP invoice coding, payment processing, deposits, and related documentation.
• Review and post payroll journal entries and oversee payroll and benefits ( with HR )
• Perform account reconciliation, account analysis, and balance sheet review regularly to uphold data integrity.
• · Research and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.

Experience

• · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger and month-end closing experience.
• Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements.
• Experience with multiple entities and intercompany transactions.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Multiple LLCs and intercompany transactions

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
