What they need
Your new company
This is a well‑established 2‑Partner boutique accounting firm located on the Adelaide city fringe. With a close‑knit team of 12 and a strong reputation for genuine, long‑term client relationships, the firm provides a caring, community‑focused and family‑friendly environment.
You'll be joining a practice that prides itself on personal connection - including face‑to‑face client engagement - while supporting a balanced, supportive workplace culture. The firm works with a diverse portfolio of clients, including high‑net‑worth individuals and small to medium enterprises.
You'll enjoy free parking (street and six dedicated on-site spaces), regular in‑house monthly tax training, and a social culture with birthday drinks, Friday drinks from 4pm, an EOFY dinner with the Partners, and a Christmas lunch to celebrate the year.
Your new role
As a Senior Accountant / Client Manager, you will take ownership of a well‑established portfolio of clients, managing end‑to‑end compliance and advisory work.
- Build strong face‑to‑face relationships with clients.
- Prepare and review work across companies, trusts, individuals and SMSFs (using Xero Tax and BGL).
- Manage client workflows, ensure deadlines are met, and uphold a high standard of service.
- Deliver work to Partner review within a flat, collaborative team structure.
- Support junior team members when required, contributing to a positive team culture.
Your client base will consist of approximately half high‑net‑worth individuals and half SME clients, providing a varied and engaging workload.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will bring:
- Experience in public practice accounting, ideally with exposure to SME and high‑net‑worth clients.
- Strong technical knowledge across tax and business services.
- Experience with Xero (Tax) and BGL (SMSF) is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging directly with clients.
- The ability to manage your own portfolio and deliver quality work for Partner review.
- A collaborative mindset suited to a caring, community‑oriented team environment.
Soft KPIs and achievable targets mean you'll thrive if you enjoy building relationships and delivering consistent, reliable client outcomes.
What you'll get in return
You'll join a supportive boutique firm where you're valued as a person, not just a number. In return, you can expect:
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Free on-site and street parking.
- Monthly tax training and ongoing professional development.
- A social, friendly workplace with regular team events.
- A stable client portfolio and genuine autonomy in managing your own work.
- Flexibility to work from home occasionally, with a preference for in‑office collaboration.
- A flat structure where your voice is heard and your contribution matters.
