Senior Accounting Analyst

Title: Accounting Analyst Senior

• Location: Everett, WA (100% onsite). Please look for candidates withing 20-25 miles from Everett.
• Work Location: Snohomish County Government Campus at 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett, WA 98201
• Duration of the contract: 18-24 Months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst with strong experience in governmental accounting and capital assets to support financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual financial statements, ACFR notes, and GASB 34 reconciliations.
• Manage capital asset accounting, general ledgers, and year-end accruals.
• Research and implement GASB accounting standards and policies.
• Support government audits, debt reporting, and internal controls.
• Prepare financial reports and resolve complex accounting issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with capital assets and governmental accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Preferred: Government agency experience and CPA, CMA, or related certification.

Work Arrangement: 100% onsite in Everett, WA. Local candidates within 20–25 miles are preferred.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
