Senior Accounting Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY* & *REQUIREMENTS

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform the day-to-day accounting for corporate balance sheet and income statement
• Prepare annual corporate budget and quarterly forecast in Excel
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations in addition to weekly, monthly and quarterly cash flows.
• Prepare journal entries and related month-end close processes including reclasses for project
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries for quarterly close in Viewpoint software.
• Daily cash management including determination/preparation of monthly funding requests.
• Prepare annual tax return workpapers and support outside CPA firm with financial statement review
• Interface and coordinate with various departments within the Company
• Perform other accounting duties and ad-hoc projects as requested.
• Desired Software Experience: Viewpoint
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting (construction, engineering or real estate a plus)
• Project accounting experience a plus
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Maintains and adheres to strict confidentiality
• Self-starter who takes initiative to bring up issues and propose resolutions
• Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and respond quickly to changing priorities
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to respond quickly to changing priorities
• Demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, professionalism, confidentiality, positive attitude, and enthusiasm in the performance of duties
